Hey all. Sorry, I took a break after my last post. I haven’t been feeling well and I needed to rest. I’ve also been trying to maintain a social media posting schedule, which has been difficult to follow through on. I think being sick threw me off, but we will see how it goes next week.
I recently created a Tiktok video about running in cold weather and the 20 degree rule. I’m trying to learn Adobe Illustrator, so I thought I would make an accompanying infographic.
About a quarter of the way through the design process, I got distracted and remembered hearing about Canva. So, I signed up. I decided to temporarily shelve the Illustrator project in favor of this.
What do I think of Canva so far? I love having the option of creating something quickly. Especially when trying to adhere to a strict social media posting calendar. As an artist and designer, I feel a little guilty about choosing this route.
I signed up for a free account and there are plenty of features available to make it worthwhile. I hate when the free experience of a product is so limited, it’s hard to get a feel for what using it might be like. But so far, that’s not the case with Canva. I can create plenty of things with the features available. I still really want to try the premium option. Maybe that’s further down the line, though. Here’s what I made. What do you think? Have you tried Canva? What about Adobe Illustrator?
(The featured image that says “Create” was made in Adobe Illustrator, though.)
